In response, internet celebrity ‘Chick-Fil-Girl’ Cheng Jia-zhen stressed that she advises pro-Taiwan elders who have been approached for sponsorship to pause and assess, to avoid setting up a ‘bad show’. Cheng said that a group of people, seeing the success of the Zhemei Art Festival, want to stage ‘Swapping the Prince with a Lynx’ in the north, but their starting point is very different from that in Tainan. Organizing events is expensive, and she questioned whether they want to do it for sponsorship and ticket sales, or if they genuinely think it will help the election. Cheng stated directly that pro-Taiwan elders who have been approached for sponsorship should pause and assess, to avoid inadvertently setting up a ‘bad show’. ‘There are only two possibilities for those people: one is stupid and malicious, the other is simply stupid. Whichever it is, don’t drag others down as a shield.’ Cheng criticized that if they hold the event, it will quickly reveal the true political cockroach nature of people who usually have a good image. ‘But there are only two months left until the general election. Those people only care about their own interests, completely disregarding how the election team, which is running on little sleep, will be affected. I can’t stand it anymore; we must stop it now.’
