As the 2026 local elections approach, the cooperation between the KMT and the TPP in the Zhubei mayoral election has completely broken down. KMT Hsinchu County magistrate candidate Hsu Hsin-ying has aroused extreme dissatisfaction among "Little Grass" (young TPP supporters), and the effect has spilled over into the county magistrate election. On the 26th, DPP Hsinchu County magistrate candidate Cheng Chao-fang invited TPP Zhubei mayoral candidate Chiu Chen-yuan to attend a concert in Zhubei.
