Celebrating the creativity of both maisons, the world lovingly painted by Holly Marler, Head of Creative at Cath Kidston, is romantic, somewhat nostalgic, and harbors a warm story.
The base of this beautiful and special collaboration art is the 'Toile de Jouy', drawn for the brand's 30th anniversary to celebrate Cath Kidston's rich history of prints.
LADURÉE's iconic macarons and the iconic pastry 'Saint-Honoré Rose Framboise' are romantically depicted, colored with icing frills alongside flowers and plants embraced by the branches of trees. The meticulous hand-drawn print, which took over 20 hours to paint, fully praises the icons engraved in Cath Kidston's archives and the dedication to craftsmanship, from the paint palette and easel to the stacked rolls of fabric. Head of Creative Holly Marler drew the swirls of cream and macarons with the same meticulousness and passion that LADURÉE's skilled pastry chefs pour into each of their creations. The sweets, together with flowers and plants embraced by tree branches, are colored with icing frills. This beautiful painting is a sincere tribute to the creativity, color, and exceptional craftsmanship of which both maisons are proud.
"It is the highest honor to have been able to draw this print for LADURÉE. We have been fans of their work for many years, constantly inspired by its sweetness and joy. I sincerely thank LADURÉE for making this wonderful collaboration a reality." - Holly
