Sign House to Ship B+COM 7X Series Compact 'series7 Small' Speaker on May 20, Achieving Both High-Quality Sound and Comfort with Pioneer Technology

Sign House Co., Ltd., the company behind the planning, manufacturing, and sales of the B+COM series of motorcycle intercoms, will begin sequentially shipping the 'Helmet Speaker Set series7 Small' (hereafter, 'Small (series7)'), an optional part for the B+COM 7X EVO / 7X, starting Wednesday, May 20, 2026. A new software update will also be released to coincide with this product launch.

This product is a compact speaker that reduces stress from pain and discomfort during fitting, alleviating interference even when standard-sized speakers do not fit well. The suggested retail price is 5,390 JPY (tax included).

The software update will support dedicated tuning data for 'B+COM Ride Audio'*, which features sound quality adjustments optimized for the 'Small (series7)' utilizing acoustic technology from Pioneer Corporation.

30% Smaller Speaker Size Reduces Interference Around the Ears Inside a Helmet

Generally, intercom speakers are installed inside a helmet. However, with standard-sized speakers, pressure on the ears can occur due to the helmet's internal structure, padding thickness, or individual differences, leading to pain and discomfort.

This product solves the lack of space inside the helmet by miniaturizing the housing to the extreme, reducing stress such as ear pain and pressure during fitting. The 'compact size' achieves a more comfortable fit.

Typically, when speakers are made smaller, sound quality tends to be sacrificed, and balancing miniaturization for fit with sound quality has been considered very difficult.

To overcome this challenge, this product adopts acoustic technology from Pioneer Corporation and implements tuning specifically for the 'Small (series7)'. The company succeeded in miniaturizing the size to the extreme while pursuing ideal acoustic performance for the housing.

Although not matching the standard model which has more physical volume, it overturns the conventional wisdom that 'compact equals compromised sound quality,' achieving clear and well-balanced sound.

【Software Update】

A new software (firmware) update for the B+COM main unit will be released to coincide with this product's launch. To use the 'Small (series7)' correctly, please perform the software update and change the settings as described below.

The tuning data can be easily configured from the dedicated 'B+FLEX APP'. From 'HOME' -> 'B+COM Settings' -> 'B+COM Ride Audio', select 'Small (series7)' from the dropdown menu. *If not set correctly, sound cracking or buzzing may occur depending on the usage environment and conditions. *Please ensure you are using the latest version.

【About 'B+COM Ride Audio'】 'B+COM Ride Audio' is a new acoustic concept for the 'B+COM 7X' series, developed in collaboration with Pioneer Corporation. Aimed at redefining the high-quality audio experience during motorcycle riding, it enhances measures against wind noise and other noises during travel, with a particular focus on software improvements. It utilizes the following three acoustic technologies from Pioneer:

Bass Enhancement Technology ・Virtual Bass Augmentation: Allows users to feel bass frequencies lower than the speaker's playback range by appropriately adding harmonic components. ・Attack Emphasis: Controls the waveform's rise to emphasize the crispness of the low range.

Sound Clarity Improvement Technology ・Extracts contour-enhancing components from the audio signal and adds them to the original signal.

Acoustic Device Characteristic Correction Technology ・Corrects the speaker's characteristics to balance the sound.

Through this signal processing, it richly reproduces low-frequency ranges that tend to be lost in riding noise, delivering a comfortable and immersive sound experience even while riding.
