Taito Corporation (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Katsuhiko Iwaki; hereinafter 'Taito') will newly open the upper floors 5 to 9 of 'Taito Station Shinjuku Kabukicho Store' on Friday, July 17, 2026. In advance of the official opening, a pre-opening will begin today, Tuesday, July 14.
Originally opened on March 20 this year with operations on floors 1 to 4, the store will now be upgraded into a multi-level amusement facility spanning the entire 1 to 9 floors. Each floor offers a unique experience, significantly expanding usage scenarios by accommodating everything from short visits to extended group stays in the Shinjuku Kabukicho area.
A Facility Where 'Play, Take Photos, and Gather' Are All Possible in One Location
Floors 5 to 9, newly opened with an expanded layout beyond the crane game-focused lower floors, feature distinct experiences on each level.
In addition to the crane game floors (1–4), the upper floors offer stay-type entertainment combining 'competition,' 'photography,' 'social interaction,' and 'dining.' A key feature is the ability to choose floors based on age group or companions.
Floor 5: Racing games, motion-sensing games, cockpit-style cabinets, capsule toys
Floor 6: Music games, kids' card games
Floor 7: Print photo sticker machines, lounge area
Floor 8: Darts (12 lanes)
Floor 9: Darts (6 lanes, including 2 AR darts), beer server 'Shall We Tap?' (with food service)
Meeting the Demand for 'Stay-Type' Experiences in Shinjuku Kabukicho
Located at the entrance of Kabukicho along the Yasukuni-dori Avenue, the Shinjuku Kabukicho store enjoys an excellent location. With this expansion, it responds to the rising urban demand for both 'short-term entertainment venues' and 'spaces where groups can stay longer.'
Especially on floor 9, the addition of the beer server 'Shall We Tap?' and food service provides a stay experience beyond the typical game center. Combined with gaming on floor 5, it also supports the nighttime economy.
Additionally, the carefully designed photo sticker floor on level 7 allows guests to enjoy sharing experiences tailored for social media posting—a growing norm—making it enjoyable not just to play, but to photograph and share.
