The average temperature last summer was higher than the previous two years (2023 and 2024), marking "the summer with the highest recorded temperature in history" (Reference: Japan Meteorological Association), and was indeed the "hottest summer."

This year, concerns remain about the early onset, prolonged duration, and increased severity of heat, with extreme heat expected to continue.

Furthermore, this year, the Japan Meteorological Agency has newly established "Scorching Heat Day" for days with a maximum temperature of 40°C or higher, drawing attention to the summer heat.

In light of this, Yokohama Takashimaya will be implementing [Extreme Heat Day/Scorching Heat Day Services] to allow customers to enjoy shopping in a "cool and advantageous" manner.

This year, the service period has been moved up by one week compared to last year, with an increase in "ice cream service" menus to provide a welcome sense of "coolness" on hot days, as well as service menus such as "makeup touch-up service and sample gifts."

Additionally, new services will be offered for days designated as "Scorching Heat Day."

Throughout the service period, approximately 45 types* of services will be offered for the hot summer.

For the first 10 customers each day who order a drink menu item, a "Mocha Soft (trial size)" will be presented.

Customers who order a soft-serve ice cream menu item will receive "one free scoop of soft-serve ice cream."

[Takashimaya Farm]

From July 8 (Wed) to August 11 (Tue, holiday), customers who spend ¥4,000 or more (tax included) will receive "one ice cream bar" for the first 10 customers each day.

Customers who spend ¥2,000 or more (tax included) will receive a "mini vanilla ice cream" (or "mini warabi mochi" for customers with milk allergies).
