Approximately 40 minutes by bus from Kanazawa Station.
The "Hokuriku Factory" suffered extensive damage in the Noto Peninsula Earthquake on January 1, 2024.
The Miyasaka area of Uchikata Town, where the "Hokuriku Factory" is located, experienced ground deformation and significant damage due to liquefaction. Mud overflowed into the factory, and Takura himself was very concerned at the time, wondering if it would be possible to resume operations.
However, employees rushed to the site the following week, and with everyone working hard to clean up the mud, and with support from business partners and cooperating companies, production was able to resume in approximately one month.
However, even on the day of the tour, more than a year after the earthquake, some areas within the premises, such as piping and the ground, were not yet fully repaired.
The tour of the "Hokuriku Factory" provided a valuable opportunity to see the raw scars of the earthquake damage.
