Lecture and Class Overview
TANOTECH Co., Ltd. conducted a practical class on June 19, 2026, at Kagoshima Prefectural Kaseda-Jojun High School, a designated school under the High School DX Acceleration Promotion Project (DX High School), utilizing the motion training system "TANO."
※ For details on the High School DX Acceleration Promotion Project (DX High School), please refer to the end of this release.
The class was themed "Utilization and Practice of Information Technology in Welfare (Game Development Using TANO)," where students actively engaged in planning and developing games for the elderly using generative AI. This provided them with an opportunity to proactively learn about "Care DX"—the integration of welfare and digital technology—through hands-on experience.
【Conducted as Part of the DX High School Initiative】
Kaseda-Jojun High School has been utilizing TANO since last year as part of the High School DX Acceleration Promotion Project (DX High School).
This academic year, focusing on "Game Development," TANOTECH, Air Water West Japan Co., Ltd., and Kakuiqs Wing Co., Ltd. collaborated to deliver practical care DX training (outreach classes) online, including introductory explanations and feedback sessions.
During the class, mixed teams were formed with students from grades 1 to 3. Based on a provided list, students selected directions for their game concepts, building ideas around themes such as "elements enjoyable for the elderly" and "games accessible to those with physical disabilities." They then formulated their ideas into prompts for generative AI, ran programs on-site, and experienced a development process of testing and refining their games to improve quality.
【Bringing Student Ideas to Life】
From the students' flexible thinking emerged numerous excellent ideas from the users' perspective, such as "a game where you open a safe" and "a game playable by those with limited mobility."
Following in-class practice, the following three games were prototyped and are progressing toward realization:
・ Grabbing laundry
・ Filling a cup to a specified level using voice
・ Aligning dials with both hands
Grab the laundry and pull it in
Use your voice to fill water up to the cup's line
Rotate both hands to match the numbers
Completed games were experienced, evaluated, and discussed among students, with iterative improvements made based on real-time feedback from instructors.
【Collaboration with the Local Community】
On the day, local media including the Minami Nihon Shimbun and MBC Radio conducted interviews, highlighting this initiative as a practical DX education effort through collaboration between companies and schools.
Moving forward, outreach classes and practical sessions for local elderly individuals are planned using the developed content, aiming to create opportunities for them to reflect on health and posture.
At the "KaiGo Life Fest! 2026 Welfare Equipment Exhibition & Seminar in Kagoshima" to be held in Kagoshima,
exhibitions of student-developed content are also scheduled.
