The Animator Training Support Project of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, hosted at the Tokyo Content Incubation Center (TCIC) and operated by Tsucrea, Inc. (HQ: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hideki Suzuki), with ABC Animation (HQ: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yoshifumi Mori) as a partner, is accepting applications for the second cohort of its 'Modern Tokiwa-so' entrepreneurship program. We are looking for creators aiming to start businesses with new models that create original IP using digital technology and target global expansion in the anime and manga industry.

Program Overview Throughout the 9-month program, participants will receive comprehensive support, including training in digital production skills from dedicated instructors, business management and fundraising expertise, as well as assistance with market development and networking with partners and investors.

◆ Workshops (July 2026 – March 2027): Approx. 20 sessions on digital production skills, business management, and fundraising. ◆ Project Presentation (December 2026): Presentation of content created based on a common theme. ◆ Prototype Production (December 2026 – March 2027): Production of prototypes and business plans based on original IP. ◆ Prototype Showcase (March 2027): Presentation of prototypes and business plans to partners, VCs, and financial institutions.

[Application Requirements] Eligibility: Corporations (within 10 years of founding) or sole proprietorships conducting anime/manga-related business in Tokyo, or individuals planning to start such a business in Tokyo. Application Period: April 22, 2026 – May 31, 2026.
