The conventional model, the portable recorder "DR-40X", released in 2019, has been widely used as a standard device in various scenes such as music, video production, and field recording.

This product is an evolution of the popular conventional model "DR-40X", equipped with 32-bit float recording and high-quality HDDA microphone preamps. Furthermore, it adds functions such as an audio interface compatible with USB Type-C and support for up to 512GB microSDXC cards, making it a more user-friendly next-generation device.

The "DR-40XP" features built-in microphones that can switch between A-B/X-Y methods to achieve stereo recording tailored to the subject. In addition, it is equipped with two systems of XLR/TRS combo inputs compatible with +48V phantom power, allowing for serious recording using external microphones. It is a new standard device for many creators, from musicians and field recording engineers to videographers and live streamers.
