dotTEST 2025.3 Release
TechMatrix Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Takaharu Yai; hereinafter "TechMatrix") will begin sales of "dotTEST 2025.3," a static and dynamic analysis tool for C#/VB.NET developed by Parasoft Corporation (Headquarters: California, USA; CEO: Elizabeth Kolawa; hereinafter "Parasoft"), starting March 26, 2026.
dotTEST is a static and dynamic analysis tool for C# and VB.NET that strongly supports the development of high-quality .NET applications and significant reduction of testing effort. It statically analyzes source code based on over 3,000 coding rules to detect program issues and hard-to-find errors lurking in cross-file processing flows. It also collects coverage information during .NET application execution, making it easy to identify gaps in testing. By incorporating dotTEST's static analysis and coverage information collection into the development process, organizations can expect improved testing efficiency and source code quality.
This version upgrade introduces an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server extension, enabling integration with AI agents and LLM (Large Language Model)-based coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot. Available in development environments that support MCP, such as Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code, users can directly access static analysis results, review detected violations, assess severity based on recommendations, receive specific fix suggestions, and consult the user guide for feature explanations and troubleshooting. Additionally, the LLM integration feature now includes a new AI auto-fix capability that automatically corrects violations based on static analysis reports generated from the command line. The fix process is automated, and corrected commits are created on the working branch within the project repository.
On the environment side, the application coverage feature has been enhanced with a new coverage agent user interface. Coverage data for managed code running on the .NET runtime can be collected for both manual and automated testing. Furthermore, Visual Studio 2026 has been added as a supported IDE, and analysis of code written in .NET 10 and C# 14 is now supported.
Security compliance rules have been expanded with the addition of rules based on CWE 4.18 (Common Weakness Enumeration), CWE Top 25 2024, and CWE Top 25 + On the Cusp 2024. Using dedicated dashboards and widgets, users can view compliance summary reports and deviation reports based on various standards (CWE, OWASP, PCI DSS, etc.) from dotTEST's static analysis results at any time.
As the exclusive domestic distributor of Parasoft products, TechMatrix will strengthen its sales, marketing, user support, and other activities for dotTEST as the optimal tool for solving the challenges of all customers involved in software development.
