Technos College (Tokyo College of Technology / Tokyo Air Travel Hotel College) conducts 'TECHNOS Seminars,' interdisciplinary project-based classes across all departments. These seminars involve collaboration with companies and local governments to propose solutions to real-world challenges, deepening practical learning.

Since 2024, the Department of Media and Imaging has been collaborating with the Japan Hockey Association (based in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) to produce videos for the Japan Women's National Field Hockey Team, promoting the sport's appeal.

Building on this track record, the third PR video, planned and produced jointly by the Japan Hockey Association and Technos Seminars, is now complete. Based on the concept 'Fall for Hockey in 120 Seconds,' the short-form video is designed to help younger audiences, primarily elementary and junior high students, easily understand hockey rules and 'superhuman' plays. Featuring professional players with extensive international match experience, the video captures the intensity and dynamism of the sport. Using the latest filming equipment, such as high-speed cameras and stabilizers (DJI RONIN 5), combined with advanced techniques, students created visually captivating imagery.

The video will be available starting May 21 on the Japan Hockey Association's official YouTube channel and other social media platforms.

At our college, students launch their own projects to address various societal challenges using unique Gen Z perspectives. In particular, recognizing the social value generated by sports, we incorporate learning opportunities and interactions through sports into our 'TECHNOS Seminars' to realize a 'well-being' society.

In the summer of 2024, with the cooperation of the Japan Hockey Association, our Media and Imaging students launched a project to widen the support circle for the Women's National Hockey Team. Given the challenges of field hockey regarding visibility and nurturing the next generation, students produced videos highlighting the charm of the players and the excitement of the sport, and planned PR activities using social media to increase awareness.

In the 2025 seminar, students produced videos featuring current and former national team players, utilizing drone photography and super-slow-motion techniques to capture the sport's charm with dynamic and delicate expression.

This third installment, titled 'Fall for Hockey in 120 Seconds,' features fast-paced, engaging content that introduces the basic rules and the players' 'superhuman' skills in a short, easy-to-understand format.
