PERSOL TEMPSTAFF Launches Cross-Mentoring Program for SCREEN HD, Yanmar HD, and CANADEVIA to Promote Women's Advancement

PERSOL TEMPSTAFF CO., LTD. has been commissioned to manage a cross-company mentoring program for three manufacturers headquartered in the Kansai region: SCREEN Holdings Co., Ltd., Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd., and CANADEVIA Co., Ltd. The initiative, designed to promote women's career advancement, commenced with a kick-off meeting on Tuesday, May 12. Through this program, PERSOL TEMPSTAFF will support efforts to solve challenges related to female empowerment in the region's manufacturing sector and foster local co-creation through inter-company networking.

Background and Objectives Three Kansai-based manufacturing companies, each facing the challenge of increasing their ratio of female managers, have implemented this cross-company mentoring program. 'Cross-mentoring' is a career development support initiative where mentors and mentees are paired from different companies. It offers numerous benefits, including the sharing of diverse perspectives and knowledge across corporate boundaries, accelerated career development, and the cultivation of female leaders.

Kick-off Meeting On Tuesday, May 12, participants gathered at the CANADEVIA headquarters for the kick-off meeting. The event featured self-introductions and group work, fostering lively exchanges of opinions beyond company and job-title affiliations. Sharing career concerns and past experiences led to empathy and new insights, raising expectations for learning and growth through the upcoming program. Over the next seven months, the program is expected to facilitate more practical learning and build cross-company relationships.
