Lavt to Release New EP 'solitude' on June 10; Lead Track 'voicemail' MV to Premiere at 8:00 PM Same Day

Singer-songwriter Lavt, who has emerged to the forefront of the next-generation scene with appearances at spring festivals, sold-out solo tours in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, and a nomination for the Music Awards Japan Best New Artist Award, will release her latest EP 'solitude' digitally on June 10.

This EP is a 4-track work created around the theme of living with 'loneliness.'

The lead track 'voicemail' is a 'four-and-a-half tatami nerd rock' song that depicts repetitive thoughts, forced smiles, self-consciousness, and pent-up emotions with addictive refrains. Over a sound where looping guitar and electronic beats intersect, she sings about the desire to look forward even in a frustrating daily life.

The EP also includes 'Parasomnia,' which portrays the space between heartbreak and insomnia; 'Siren,' which depicts the lingering echoes of emotion after a breakup; and 'Crashback,' a danceable track about flashing memories and desires.

The work, which blends bedroom pop and indie rock sounds with post-internet culture sensibilities and raw emotions, reflects the loneliness of modern people who continue to live their daily lives while harboring unstable feelings.

Additionally, the music video for the lead track 'voicemail' will be premiered on YouTube at 8:00 PM on June 10.

Furthermore, the Tokyo performance at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM for Lavt's 3rd ONEMAN LIVE 'RE:BORN,' which starts in July, is sold out. Tickets for the Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka performances are currently on sale.

'voicemail' is a song about the desire to live positively. I wrote about the feeling of wanting to look forward just a little, even while overthinking and being tossed around by myself in a frustrating daily life.

I hope that the entire work 'solitude' will be a piece that can resonate with people who continue to live while carrying loneliness and anxiety.
