This is about Cruella, the beautiful witch of Washin-mura. Since around October last year, wounds appeared on her back and her lips were swollen. She was diagnosed at her regular vet with bite wounds from a fight and was treated with ointment. Half a year later, it kept getting better and worse. There were two wounds on her back; one healed, but the other kept recurring. Finally, in June this year, when it scabbed over, the swelling on her lips became noticeable. This time, she was diagnosed with eosinophilic granuloma and had to keep taking antibiotics and steroids. Then, in August, the healing wound on her back became irritated again. Suspecting it might be due to the steroids, I went to a hospital in Tokyo and was told it was dermatophytosis. We decided to treat it patiently with oral and topical medication. And this morning, there was blood on her lips! I rushed to another local hospital for blood tests and a biopsy. The blood test results were healthy, so I was relieved for now! The blood this morning might have been from bumping into something. The cells are being sent to a center, so I'm waiting about 10 days for the results. Please give some encouragement to Cruella who is working so hard!
