The 21st Tensonsukurin Kirishima Festival will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the main hall of Kirishima International Music Hall (Miyama Concert Hall).

This festival, held in Kirishima, a land steeped in the myth of the descent of the heavenly grandson, is a celebration of traditional performing arts composed of two festivals: the Kirishima Kogen Taiko Matsuri (Kirishima Highland Drum Festival) and the Minamikyushu Kagura Matsuri (Southern Kyushu Shinto Dance Festival).

Traditional performing arts such as taiko drumming and kagura, carefully passed down in Kirishima and across the country, will gather in one place to showcase their charms.

The solemn and mystical worldview woven by kagura, and the powerful and heroic resonance of taiko drumming.

The dynamic performances of each program will stir the hearts of the audience and allow them to feel the depth of Japanese traditional culture.

2. Take your reservation number to a nearby FamilyMart and issue your tickets using the multi-copy machine (tickets can be issued 24 hours a day).

*First-time users will need to register as a member (free registration).

*Payment can be made at FamilyMart stores, via online credit card payment, or via PayPay.

*Tickets can only be received via FamilyMart issuance (fee of 385 yen/ticket).

*No refunds will be given for tickets after issuance, nor will reissuance be provided for lost tickets.

*No refunds will be given even if the event is canceled due to natural disasters.
