'Strong Mode' improves browsing comfort by accelerating block speeds, expanding block lists, and visualizing blocking activity.

About the New DNS Blocking Method 'Strong Mode'

280blocker has added a new DNS blocking mode called 'Strong Mode.'

DNS blocking suppresses ad display by blocking communication to ad-serving servers. In addition to the existing 'Basic Mode,' users can now choose between two modes based on their needs.

◯ (New Feature) Strong Mode

A new DNS blocking function that blocks communication to ad-serving domains using a local VPN. By processing ad-blocking tasks directly on the device, it achieves faster and stronger ad blocking than the conventional 'Basic Mode.'

・ Accelerated Ad Blocking

By quickly blocking communication to ad-serving domains within the device, loading speeds for ad-heavy web pages and apps are improved.

While Basic Mode has limits on the number of block entries, Strong Mode supports a significantly larger number of ad domains.

・ Visualized Blocking Activity

Displays the number of blocked ads in hourly and daily graphs, allowing users to instantly check their ad-blocking status.

Users can select from the following settings based on the types of ads they wish to block:

Balanced Setting... Blocks a wide range of ads

Adult Ad-Only Setting (※)... Focuses on blocking adult ads

App Ad-Only Setting (※)... Focuses on blocking in-app ads

'Strong Mode' is available to users of the monthly Premium Plan and Anti-Scam Plan.

Users of the Premium Plan and Anti-Scam Plan can switch between the 'Basic Mode' and 'Strong Mode' of the DNS blocking feature at no additional cost.
