'Switch!' (Mon-Fri: 9:50 AM, Sat: 10:23 AM, Sun: 6:15 AM)

Tokai Television Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Higashi Ward, Nagoya City) has implemented the second edition of its art challenge, decorating its summer studio set with children's artwork from the local community.

The station's official mascot, 'Itchy,' is a fairy from a flower field. To beautifully decorate the studio, children were invited to draw sunflowers, family members, and other heartfelt subjects. The drawings were created by approximately 500 parent-child pairs who participated in the 'Doodle Events' held in April and May this year at the 'Shimin Gallery Yata,' operated by the Nagoya City Foundation for Cultural Promotion. Around 400 pieces were submitted.

The collected artworks are now used as part of the studio set for Tokai Television's morning information program 'Switch!' and have been featured on air starting July 13, blooming vibrantly on screen.

Children's artwork brings color to the summer studio

Moving forward, Tokai Television will continue initiatives that create opportunities for interaction between the local community and the station, allowing children to enjoyably engage with art, deepen connections with programs and characters, and feel closer to the content we produce.
