Mayu Ishikawa, an ace in the volleyball world, leads her teams with her play and smile both in Japan and overseas.

This book is a photobook where she, having turned 26, expresses her true self for the first time.

It is a work filled with her journey and true face, from her encounter with volleyball and her life in Italy, to her growth into Japan's ace step by step since her national team debut at age 18.

Mayu Ishikawa (Ishikawa Mayu)

Born May 14, 2000, in Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture. 174 cm tall.

Professional volleyball player. Position: Outside Hitter.

Began playing volleyball in elementary school influenced by her older sister and brother. After attending Nagano Municipal Susobana Junior High School, she entered the prestigious Shimokitazawa Seitoku High School. In her third year, she captained the team to win two national high school championships. From 2019 to 2023, she played for Toray Arrows, setting a V.LEAGUE record for most points by a Japanese player (735 points) in the 2022-2023 season. In 2023, she transferred to Il Bisonte Firenze in Italy's Serie A, beginning her overseas career. In 2024, she transferred to Igor Gorgonzola Novara and won her first title in the CEV Cup, a competition featuring top European clubs. It has been announced that she will play for the Turkish powerhouse Eczacıbaşı in the 2026-2027 season. On the Japanese national team, she made her debut in May 2019 and has participated in two consecutive Olympic Games, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024. She was appointed new captain in 2025 and leads the team as the ace. She aims to win a medal at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
