Tokyo Boeki Techno System Co., Ltd. (hereinafter TTS), a member of the Tokyo Boeki Group (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Tsuyoshi Kobayashi), will co-host the "Construction & Civil Engineering Measurement DX Seminar" with Harmonicos Inc. on July 15, 2026 (Wed.) at the TTS Shin-Yokohama Showroom.
Background of the Event
The construction industry faces urgent challenges in improving productivity and reducing labor due to worsening labor shortages and a decline in experienced technicians. Against this backdrop, and driven by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism's "i-Construction 2.0 (2040 Target)," efforts to improve construction efficiency and sophistication through site digitalization are accelerating.
TTS is applying its high-precision 3D measurement technology, cultivated in the manufacturing industry, to the construction field, addressing site challenges by utilizing 3D data for tasks such as labor saving in bridge inspections and real-time measurement on site.
One such example is the "System for Improving Efficiency of Steel Plate Wrapping Work with Laser Tracker," jointly developed with Okumura Gumi Civil Engineering Co., Ltd. This system utilizes the high-precision laser tracker "Leica Absolute Tracker ATS600" to measure dimensions between steel plates and concrete structures of bridge piers remotely, thereby improving the efficiency of steel plate wrapping work.
In this seminar, we will invite Okumura Gumi Civil Engineering Co., Ltd. to present a case study on the utilization of laser trackers in actual construction sites. In the latter half, we will also introduce the latest measurement, inspection, and 3D modeling technologies, delivering practical information that can be utilized on site.
NETIS* Registered System for Improving Efficiency of Steel Plate Wrapping Work with Laser Tracker
This is an application that uses a laser tracker to measure dimensions between steel plates and concrete structures of bridge piers remotely with high precision and in real-time.
It supports three types of bridge pier configurations: rectangular, circular, and portal rectangular. Compared to traditional manual measurements taken from scaffolding, the following effects can be expected: - Contributes to cost reduction as measurement is possible without using scaffolding. - Achieves schedule shortening by reducing measurement time and advancing the schedule.
- Contributes to improved safety by reducing high-altitude work.
*NETIS (New Technology Information System): A system for providing information on new technologies by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
