Tokyo Dome City LaQua (1-1-1 Kasuga, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo), a fusion commercial facility combining shopping, dining, spa, and attractions, will host the real-life puzzle game 'Kuromajyo-san ga Tooru!! – Your One Day as an Apprentice Black Witch' in collaboration with the long-running Kodansha Blue Bird Books series 'Kuromajyo-san ga Tooru!!', which has sold over 5 million copies cumulatively. The event, produced by Haregake Inc.—a company that has organized over 700 events nationwide—will run from Saturday, August 1, 2026, to Sunday, January 31, 2027.

This event is a free, walkthrough-style real-life puzzle game set within the LaQua facility. Designed to be enjoyable for fans who were elementary school students during the series’ original run, as well as families with young children, it offers an engaging experience perfect for summer outings, all within the cool, indoor environment of LaQua.

[Event Details]

The story begins when participants find a mysterious 'Black Witch Drill' inside the LaQua building, getting caught up in the antics of Choco and Gyubiddo, and unexpectedly being appointed as an 'Apprentice Black Witch.' Using their own smartphones, participants explore LaQua, solving puzzles by combining information from the puzzle booklet (hereinafter 'the booklet') and clues found within the venue. The experience includes interactive elements such as chanting actual spells from the series aloud, immersing players in the world they once read about. The original story is set during the characters’ elementary school days, featuring many classmates from 'Class 5-1' like Mai, Meg, Tokaiji, and Makura, along with humorous interactions between Choco and Gyubiddo that will delight longtime fans.

[How to Participate] *Smartphone required for solving puzzles

Participants can join for free by picking up the booklet from racks placed inside LaQua. By scanning the QR code printed in the booklet, they access the event-exclusive game website to begin. As they explore the venue and gather clues, they solve puzzles using both the booklet and discovered hints. Solving the final puzzle leads to the ending and game completion.

[Comment from Original Author Yoji Ishizaki]

'Can you believe it? 'Kuromajyo-san ga Tooru!!' as a puzzle game? And as apprentice black witch training? Wow, I’m surprised—but it looks incredibly fun!

So I gave it a try myself… Hmm, it’s tough…

But then again, mastering magic should require tough training.

Come on, become Choco and challenge Gyubiddo-sama’s rigorous black witch training!'
