We regret to announce that coaches Shin Tehara and Joonas Huhtakangas will leave Tokyo Great Bears following the expiration of their contracts.
Shin Tehara joined FC Tokyo in 2015. Known for his blocking strength and fast-paced setting, he played a crucial role as a setter for Tokyo Great Bears since its inaugural season. From the 2023-24 season, he served as a coach, acting not only on tactical matters but also as a bridge between players and staff through his meticulous attention to detail.
Joonas Huhtakangas is a coach with rich international experience who contributed to enhancing team strength, particularly among the setters. His cheerful personality also brought constant positive energy to the team.
We sincerely thank both Coach Tehara and Coach Joonas for their support and dedication. Both coaches have already secured their next positions, with details to be announced later by their respective new clubs.
