7th Tokyo Senior Business Grand Prix 2026: Supporting Entrepreneurship for Those 55 and Over with a 1 Million Yen Top Prize

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Small and Medium Enterprise Support Center are launching the '7th Tokyo Senior Business Grand Prix 2026,' a business plan contest exclusively for those aged 55 and over, aimed at enriching senior lives and fostering entrepreneurship. Applications will be accepted starting June 1, 2026. In the era of the 100-year lifespan, as more seniors pursue entrepreneurship as a second career, this initiative supports those aiming to start businesses within Tokyo.

[Prizes and Support] Top Prize: 1 million yen; Excellence Award: 500,000 yen; Incentive Award: 300,000 yen. Additionally, all finalists are candidates for 1 million yen in startup support funding.

[Eligibility] Individuals aged 55 or older as of April 1, 2026, who plan to start a business in Tokyo or have been in business for less than 5 years.

[Seminars] Kick-off seminar (June 27) and entrepreneurship seminars (July 11, July 25) will cover business plan creation and AI utilization.
