Tokyo Midtown Yaesu (located in Chuo City, Tokyo) will host the summer-limited event 'YAESU KIDS EXPO 2026 Dino Lab' – Learn with T. rex at Tokyo Midtown Yaesu! – from Tuesday, July 14, 2026, to Sunday, August 23, 2026, for 41 days. Centered on the popular theme of 'dinosaurs' among children, this experiential event allows kids to 'see,' 'dig,' and 'create' in a unique summer-only experience. The venue will feature a wide range of attractions, including the full-body skeleton of the world's largest Tyrannosaurus rex, 'STAN (Stan),' which is rarely exhibited in Japan, a 'Fossil Excavation Experience' where visitors can dig up real fossils, and fun workshops to learn about dinosaur biology and skeletal structures. These offerings allow guests to enjoy the awe-inspiring presence of giant dinosaurs and the adventurous spirit of exploring the ancient world*1. Additionally, the 'Dino Lab Independent Research Notebook*2' program will guide participants through various locations within Tokyo Midtown Yaesu. Set across all floors from 1st to 5th, the facility is filled with interactive learning elements that deepen understanding of dinosaurs, fossils, and Earth's history, providing an intellectual experience that can also support summer vacation independent research projects. At Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, directly connected to Tokyo Station, we offer a special experience where families can enjoy and learn together about the ancient world in which dinosaurs once lived.

This summer, the Mitsui Fudosan Group will also host summer events across four of its Tokyo metropolitan facilities: Tokyo Midtown, Tokyo Midtown Hibiya, Tokyo Midtown Yaesu, and the Nihonbashi Area. We invite you to enjoy the unique summer experiences each facility has to offer.

Immersive Exhibits & Experiences into the Ancient World

The highlight of this event is an experiential zone centered on the world's largest full-body Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, 'STAN,' showcasing dinosaur and ancient creature fossils and specimens. In addition to 'STAN,' the exhibition will feature a full-body fossil of Mosasaurus, a marine reptile that thrived during the Cretaceous period, embedded in its original rock matrix, fossil specimens and partial skeletons from around the world that evoke the era when dinosaurs lived, and dioramas illustrating the environments in which dinosaurs became fossilized. We will also display 'TOKYO Fossils' unearthed in Tokyo and the Kanto region. Through exhibit explanations based on the latest research, visitors can enjoyably learn about the age of dinosaurs and Earth's history. Additional attractions, such as interactive experiences that let children playfully explore dinosaur movements, will also stimulate children's curiosity. This dinosaur experience space offers an immersive environment where guests can 'see,' 'touch,' and 'learn,' as if stepping into the ancient world.

Excavate Real Fossils! 'Treasure Hunter Excavation Experience!'

A hands-on workshop where participants use a hammer and chisel to excavate real fossils randomly embedded in plaster blocks. Designed to simulate the 'fossil preparation' process used in actual paleontological digs, participants can enjoy the thrill of being part of an excavation team. All fossils are authentic, with popular children's fossils such as Mosasaurus teeth, trilobites, and ammonites randomly included. Participants can take home the fossils they excavate, making this a popular activity perfectly suited for summer vacation independent research projects.

Complete Your Own 'Dino Lab Independent Research Notebook' by Exploring the Facility!

Children who purchase tickets will receive a 'Dino Lab Independent Research Notebook.' By visiting designated rally points throughout the venue, they can freely record their observations, curiosities, and discoveries from the exhibits to complete their own special notebook. As they explore each area, they will deepen their understanding of the dinosaur era and Earth's history. This activity fosters interest and curiosity, supports summer vacation research projects, and allows participants to preserve their learning and memories from the event in a one-of-a-kind original notebook.

Daily 'Dinosaur Easy Workshop'!

Daily workshops offering crafts and coloring activities themed around dinosaurs, enjoyable for parents and children alike. An experiential activity that allows participants to engage with the world of dinosaurs while creating their own original dinosaur.

Special Events to Learn More About Dinosaurs!

We plan to host limited, reservation-only special events and workshops to learn more deeply about dinosaurs and fossils. These include the 'Tyrannosaurus Special Lecture' for deeper knowledge about T. rex and workshops co-hosted with students from the University of Tokyo. A diverse range of educational content will be offered, providing a special summer experience that sparks children's curiosity and desire to learn more.
