Tomoaki Shiono, known for his role as Okei Naitsugu in the 'Touken Ranbu' musical series, has been expanding his career across popular stage productions, straight plays, and recently as a lead in streaming dramas. One of the most promising young actors, he will release his debut photobook on his 19th birthday, August 10, coinciding with his upcoming role as Corporal Tamama in the Peconpon Invasion Musical 'Keroro Gunsou' this September.

To capture Shiono’s personal side, the photobook features recreated scenes from his high school days, playful moments with his beloved cats, an energetic BBQ during a glamping trip, and tennis—a sport he has enjoyed since childhood—offering an authentic glimpse into his everyday life.

Shot in March 2026, just after his high school graduation, the book includes images reflecting his transition from adolescence to adulthood. Incorporating Shiono’s own ideas, it features powerful shots of him on grand stages and dreamlike scenes in neon-lit cityscapes wearing a kimono, visually expressing 'his future as a maturing actor.' In contrast, the book also explores the theme 'What if I had taken a different path?' portraying him as a university student or office worker, depicting an alternate future. This creates a compelling portrait contrasting two parallel life narratives.

Hello everyone! This is Tomoaki Shiono.

I’m so happy to be able to share my photobook with you during my final year as a teenager at age 19! The concept of this photobook is 'me as an actor and me if I hadn’t become an actor.' You’ll also see private moments like school life and living alone as a university student. I hope you’ll let your imagination go beyond the photos!

I never imagined I’d get to release a photobook in my teens!

(as Azuki Onoya), 'HUNTER×HUNTER' THE STAGE (as Gon), Stage 'Rule ~From “The Mysterious Island”~' (as Jack), Stage 'Nintama Rantarou' ~Hello! 3rd Graders, All Assemble~ (as Sakubei Tomimatsu), Musical 'Touken Ranbu' ~Sakuryu Hito~ (as Okei Naitsugu), and TOKYO FM Radio Drama 'NISSAN Ah, Abe Reiji ~BEYOND THE AVERAGE~' (as Eita Abe).
