The Tokyo Metropolitan Government continuously screens projection mapping on the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building as a canvas, expressing diverse art with light and sound, aiming to create new tourism resources that color Tokyo's nights. From April 25th (Saturday), the new projection mapping work 'Tokyo Rebirth - A Journey of the City's Soul Through Abyss and Rebirth,' colored by the worldview of internationally active artist Mika Ninagawa with EiM, will be released. This work views the city as a single life, depicting the energy of transformation hidden within its depths. Tokyo, as a giant city, is a place where information and light flow incessantly, pulsating with chaos and order, life and death. Looking closely into its depths, colors and light spread out as if erupting from within the rigid structure, and eventually flowers bloom. This is a scene of 'the power of life' overflowing beyond the city's surface. As sound and light resonate, the city changes its expression as if breathing, quietly enveloping the viewer. At this moment where end and beginning intersect, the city feels as if it is awakening again. Screenings are on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays at 19:30 and 21:00. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building projection mapping 'TOKYO Night & Light' is held daily, except in stormy weather. The projection surface is the east wall of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1. Viewing is at the Citizens' Plaza (2-8-1 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo). Screening times are 19:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00, 21:30. This schedule is until May 6th (Wednesday/holiday). Subsequent detailed schedules can be found on the special website. This project promotes environmentally friendly initiatives (use of green electricity). This initiative is certified by Guinness World Records as the 'Largest permanent projection mapping display on an architectural structure.'
