Our company has been selected for the third consecutive year as a constituent of the "FTSE4Good Index Series" and the "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index," which are leading ESG investment indices. This marks our third consecutive year of selection for all six Japanese equity ESG investment indices adopted by the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).
The "FTSE4Good Index Series" and the "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index" were developed by the UK-based global index provider FTSE Russell. They are designed to measure the performance of companies that demonstrate excellent responses to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors and are widely used for creating and evaluating sustainable investment funds and other financial products. FTSE Russell's evaluations cover areas such as "Corporate Governance," "Human Rights," "Health and Safety," "Anti-Corruption," and "Climate Change." Companies included in the "FTSE4Good Index Series" and the "FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index" meet various environmental, social, and governance standards.
Our company has also been selected as a constituent of other leading ESG investment indices, including the "MSCI Selection Indexes" and the "SOMPO Sustainability Index."
Our company has established "Safety and Security," "Community Development," "Quality of Living Environment," "Human Resource Development," "Decarbonization and Circular Economy," and "Corporate Governance and Compliance" as our sustainable key themes (materiality). We are committed to "Creating a Beautiful Living Environment for the Future" and "Continuously Solving Social Issues Through Business" by addressing these themes, making "Sustainable Management" our fundamental management stance.
