Toridoll Holdings Supports Marugame City's Regional Initiatives: International Exchange via 'Honnomori-go' Library Ship and Udon Service at Traditional 'Odaishi-mairi'

Toridoll Holdings, which provides food experiences worldwide driven by 'Mental Capital Management,' signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture, in 2022. For the company, which founded Marugame Seimen with the desire to spread the joy of handmade, freshly made Sanuki udon, Marugame City holds a special place. Based on this, the company continues to support the revitalization of the city's remote island, 'Sanuki Hiroshima,' and has been supporting the operation of the 'Children's Library Ship Honnomori-go' since fiscal 2025.

Using the 'Honnomori-go,' an exchange event was held from April 28 to April 30, 2026, between island children and elementary students from Taiwan, featuring udon served from a Marugame Seimen kitchen car. On May 7, the company also supported the traditional 'Odaishi-mairi' event, serving freshly made udon at the 'Kokoro no Honten' facility on the island.

The 'Honnomori-go' is a library ship renovated from a small vessel donated by architect Tadao Ando. This time, 37 participants, including 22 students from Lujiang Elementary School in New Taipei City, Taiwan, deepened their friendship through activities like picture book readings and fan making. Furthermore, the company continues its social contribution through events at 'Teshima Factory' in Teshima, where all proceeds from udon sales are donated to environmental conservation.
