Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture, will hold a resident briefing session as building construction begins for the "Namie Station Grand Design Basic Plan," aimed at creating vibrancy around Namie Station. Architect Kengo Kuma and others will present on the project's progress.

Namie Town has been promoting the Namie Station Area Development Project, having formulated the "Namie Station Grand Design Basic Plan" in March of Reiwa 4 (2022) with the objective of creating vibrancy in the area surrounding Namie Station.

As building construction is scheduled to commence this fiscal year, we will be holding a resident briefing session regarding the project's implementation details and progress status, as announced below.

At this briefing session, architect Mr. Kengo Kuma, who is cooperating on this project, project planner Mr. Junji Ito, and UR Urban Development Agency, which is undertaking the infrastructure development work, will provide explanations.
