We endorse "April Dream," an initiative to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release represents the dream of "Tojo Town."

In the waiting room, in addition to "dreams," works by local residents are also displayed.

Dreams Gathering at Sasagawa Station

Our dream is to transform this station into "a place where people gather and warm connections are born." Once a bustling hub and a gateway to the region, the station's role has changed with the times. However, we believe that a station still possesses the power to connect people. A station is a starting line for the next destination, and a place where one can always return, no matter what. In such a place, on April 1st, the dreams of everyone in the town will be displayed.

We aim for Sasagawa Station to be a place where local residents can easily drop by, where visitors can experience the charm of Tojo Town, and where new hopes and challenges can emerge. From this small station, we will take a step towards creating the future of our region. On April 11, 2026, an opening ceremony will be held to mark a new beginning with the local community. We hope this initiative will become a beacon of hope for communities nationwide.

Opened on November 10, 1931. 95 years old.

The first task in the newly renovated former office was "pasting dreams."

A New Beginning

Since the station building was transferred, workshops have been held in the town to discuss its utilization, gathering various hopes and ideas. Following this, Miho Abe, a member of the Tojo Town Regional Revitalization Cooperation Team, has been cleaning and displaying artworks once a week. Her activities have inspired residents' thoughts and actions, leading some to volunteer for weeding and flowerbed maintenance. Furthermore, through events showcasing the station interior and open-air shogi events held at the station, we have shared a feeling where visitors can focus on hope and fulfill their individual "wants."

In prayer for many dreams to blossom at Sasagawa Station, the Tojo Town Sasagawa Station Exchange Center Renewal Opening Ceremony will be held on April 11th.
