NEXCO Central Japan and Toyota Real Estate to Cooperate in Developing Oyama PA (Tentative Name) (Upbound)

NEXCO Central Japan (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, President & CEO: Tadashi Nawata) and Toyota Real Estate Co., Ltd. (Tokyo Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Tomohide Yamamura) will cooperate in the operation of the 'Oyama Parking Area (PA) (tentative name) (upbound)' (hereinafter referred to as 'this PA'), located between the under-construction Shin-Tomei Expressway (E1A Shin-Tomei) Shin-Hadano Interchange (IC) and Shin-Gotemba IC. They aim to provide a comfortable and relaxing space, attract visitors by enhancing its appeal, and establish it as a hub for disseminating information about the Oyama region and motorsports.

NEXCO Central Japan has been proceeding with the construction of Oyama PA (tentative name) (upbound), located approximately 4 km east of Shin-Gotemba IC. Along with the concurrently under-construction Hadano-Tanzawa SA (tentative name), they have been considering facilities that would allow customers using this section to rest comfortably.

Meanwhile, Toyota Real Estate Co., Ltd. is engaged in the 'Fuji Motorsports Forest Project (*)' in collaboration with the Toyota Group around this PA, and this PA, along with the adjacent Oyama Smart Interchange (SIC) (tentative name), will serve as its important gateway.

For these reasons, with the aim of improving services and revitalizing the local community and economy, the two companies have decided to cooperate in the operation of this PA.

At this PA, NEXCO Central Japan will be responsible for the overall operational management of the area and will primarily develop facilities such as light food and beverage services and retail that cater to quick needs. Toyota Real Estate will develop dining facilities, an information dissemination hub for Fuji Motorsports Forest, retail to convey the charm of the Oyama region, and outdoor spaces for relaxation.

By developing and operating this PA in cooperation, the two companies will provide attractive and diverse services for both highway users and visitors to the surrounding area, thereby promoting regional revitalization.
