Ichihatasan Yakushiji will hold the 'Kaiun Hoshi Matsuri' prayer festival on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at its Nagoya Betsuin (Chikusa-ku, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture). This annual June festival prays for the good fortune and financial luck of all attendees. The event will include wallet blessings by the deputy head priest, a 'no-lose' lucky draw, and the distribution of 'financial luck' mochi. Ichihatasan Yakushiji conducts 13 major festivals throughout the year, where individual wishes are combined into a single great prayer to the Yakushi Nyorai. The Nagoya Betsuin, the birthplace of the temple, hosts this event to pray for the prosperity of families. Attendees can participate in sutra chanting, sermons, and incense offerings. The lucky draw offers prizes including 10,000, 5,000, and 3,000 yen in cash. A special June stamp (goshuin) will also be available for 500 yen.
