Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation and Eisai Co., Ltd. have partnered on an initiative to provide information regarding cognitive function aimed at preventing dementia.
With the progression of a super-aging society, the importance of health management and asset formation is increasing. Appropriate consideration in financial product transactions is required for age-related changes in cognitive and judgmental abilities. Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking has been promoting the use of an 'AI app for financial product suitability checks' to enhance its financial services, which was utilized by over 500 customers from February to December last year. This app estimates and visualizes brain cognitive function on a 15-level scale using natural data such as conversation and expressions, and is used as reference information for judging the suitability of financial products.
In this partnership, Eisai will provide approximately 40 types of informational materials related to the dementia field, as well as information regarding the 'Brain Activity Life Special Feature' (a brain health information site). Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking will utilize these resources to begin providing information on cognitive function starting from the use of the app. It will also consider using these materials in other scenarios as part of its support for elderly customers. Through these efforts, the companies will continuously provide information that contributes to disease awareness of Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and the maintenance or improvement of cognitive function, aiming to create an environment where elderly users can use financial services with peace of mind.
Through this partnership, both companies will contribute to the realization of a society where financial services can be used securely according to cognitive status, and a 'society that lives with dementia.'
