The 'Forge Accelerator Program' (Forge), operated by TSI Inc. as part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's 'TIB CATAPULT' project, has announced the 13 startups selected for its second cohort. Following an information session on April 22, 2026, and a recruitment period ending May 6, 13 companies were chosen through document screening and interviews. Over the next 12 months, the program will provide practical, hands-on support, including manufacturing assistance, PoC design and verification, investor access, and corporate partnerships. In Phase 1, the focus will be on determining manufacturing direction and PoC design. Based on progress and readiness, a review will be conducted with PoC and corporate partners. The 6-7 companies that pass will proceed to Phase 2, starting in September, focusing on manufacturing implementation, PoC execution, and collaboration with major corporations and investors. The program includes masterclasses, meetups, fireside chats, and a demo day in 2027 for Japanese VCs. Continuous hands-on support and matching services will be provided until August 2027 to ensure tangible results.
