Seminar Overview
"No matter how many times I instruct, my subordinates don’t take action."
"I’m investing time and effort into development, but I’m not seeing results."
These recurring challenges in many organizations have traditionally been attributed to individual effort or motivation. However, research in human-centered design (HCD) and the science of learning shows that "human behavior changes significantly based on the design of their environment."
This seminar will shift the perspective: the issue isn’t the manager’s effort or the subordinate’s motivation, but rather the design of development itself. U’eyes Design will explain "why people don’t act as expected," while UMU will explore "what kind of environment enables natural learning."
Participants will gain a practical framework for reframing development challenges as environmental design issues and learn how to build team environments where learning cycles naturally occur. Managers and HR/learning & development professionals are strongly encouraged to attend.

Three Key Benefits of This Seminar
- Scientifically understand the structural causes of development challenges
Learn that the root cause of disengaged subordinates and poor results is not an individual’s fault, but a flaw in environmental design—explained through both human-centered design and neuroscience. Gain a diagnostic framework to objectively assess issues and implement effective solutions.
- Master an approach to function as a 'development designer'
Systematically learn actionable methods such as converting tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge and designing psychological safety—practices you can apply immediately. Shift your mindset from 'teaching' to 'creating systems that enable growth' and take away concrete design elements.
- Build environments where learning cycles thrive within teams
Use practical design examples that can be integrated into existing workflows—such as morning meetings and retrospectives—to create a 'learning organization' that doesn’t rely on individual motivation.
Who Should Attend
- Executives and business leaders: Those seeking to improve the ROI of development investments or scientifically reevaluate their organization’s talent development strategy
- Managers and project leaders: Frontline leaders who feel they are investing time and effort into coaching but aren’t seeing results
- HR and L&D professionals: Talent development specialists concerned that training outcomes aren’t translating to the workplace
- Business unit leaders: Team leaders aiming to cultivate a learning culture and enhance practical skills on the ground
- DX promotion leaders: Those exploring or already using learning platforms and seeking to drive tangible results through digital transformation in talent development
