About the New Video "Urban Nova"

"Urban Nova," the 9th installment of the Yokohama-based music project "UNI SOUND GROOVE," is an instrumental piece that evokes a laid-back texture reminiscent of acid jazz and hip-hop from the neo-soul era, along with the dynamism unique to live band performances. Meticulously arranged and featuring improvisational elements, it unfolds dramatically over approximately 5 minutes.

The work's characteristic urban sound blends jazz and funk roots with the sensibilities of hip-hop and modern beat-making. The fusion of each member's advanced technical skill, ensemble playing, and improvisation-inspired arrangements results in a track that offers new discoveries with every listen.

About UNI SOUND GROOVE

"UNI SOUND GROOVE" is a real band project formed by the "friends" of UNI SOUND staff and their acquaintances. UNI SOUND, based in Yokohama, deals in the purchase and sale of used musical instruments and instrument manufacturing. Many of the performers are staff members who normally work at the instrument shop, or their friends and acquaintances. Filming and recording take place in UNI SOUND's actual warehouse and other affiliated locations.

With the concept of "after-hours sessions" made possible by being constantly surrounded by musical instruments, the project delivers authentic musical expression.
