The Japan University Sports Association (UNIVAS) has developed and released training videos for coaches titled "Mindset for University Sports Coaches" (5 videos) and for students titled "University Sports Safety and Security Training" (6 videos) to strengthen governance and promote a safe and secure environment in university sports.

In recent years, harassment, compliance violations, inappropriate organizational management, and serious accidents in university sports clubs have become social issues. Meanwhile, university sports are expected to play multifaceted roles, including not only improving athletic performance but also fostering students' character development, career building, and creating a safe and secure environment.

However, there has previously been no comprehensive training system for university sports stakeholders.

The newly developed training videos aim to help coaches and students involved in university sports acquire the knowledge and perspectives they need from their respective positions and enhance governance in university sports.

The released training videos were produced by NHK Educational, which has years of experience producing educational programs. They are structured based on scenarios that can occur in university sports settings, enabling coaches and student athletes to understand them as their own issues and put the learning into practice.
