Release of Best-of Album Commemorating the Film 'Michael'

Universal Music Japan announced the release of the best-of album 'Michael Jackson & The Jackson 5 - The Best' on May 20th (Wed). The album features selections primarily focusing on solo hits from the Motown era to commemorate the release of the Michael Jackson biopic 'Michael'. 2026 marks the 60th anniversary of Jackson 5's career. The film opened in the U.S. on April 24th and will be released in Japan on June 12th. This Japan-exclusive compilation serves as a definitive edition featuring carefully curated hits.

The album jacket features a futuristic design incorporating contemporary art by YOSHIROTTEN. In addition to a deluxe edition (2-CD set, 7-inch paper jacket) and standard CD, an LP version will be released on June 10th. On the same day, eight related titles will also be reissued.

On June 10th, Jermaine Jackson's albums 'Jermaine' and 'Let's Get Serious' will also be re-released. The film 'Michael' has already recorded a major opening weekend success worldwide.
