On June 26, 2026, the "Workplace Environment Certification System" Secretariat presented at the "How to Create a Work-Friendly and Healthy Workplace Seminar" hosted by the Aichi Trucking Association.
On the day, we introduced the "Workplace Environment Certification System," its utilization methods, and its benefits. We also explained the procedures for new applications, key points for creating a work-friendly environment, and initiatives for obtaining higher-level certification.
Thirty-six trucking companies, with 47 participants, attended the seminar to learn about initiatives that lead to talent acquisition and practical know-how. During the Q&A session after the lecture, participants expressed interest in "considering new applications" and "wanting to proceed with applications for higher-level certification," and the event concluded successfully.

The "Workplace Environment Certification System" Secretariat will continue to collaborate with business associations and disseminate the significance and effects of "visualizing" efforts to create a work-friendly environment through seminars like this. We will also introduce practical examples that enhance the appeal of the driver profession and strive to contribute to talent acquisition and retention in the transportation industry.
<About the "Workplace Environment Certification System">
The official name is the "Driver Workplace Environment Improvement Certification System." This system, established by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, "visualizes" the "work-friendliness" for truck, bus, and taxi drivers through a certification mark. Its purpose is to promote job placement for drivers and support the talent acquisition efforts of transportation businesses.
Companies with this mark have implemented various initiatives to improve the working conditions and environment for their drivers and have been certified after a content review by the certification body.
It aims to create a better workplace environment for each individual employee, including the active recruitment of female drivers, an increase in annual paid leave days, reduction of overtime work, and initiatives to protect mental and physical health, serving as a guide for choosing a workplace.
The Nippon Kaiji Kentei Kyokai (Japan Maritime Association) is a "Certification Body" designated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, responsible for the examination, certification, and public relations activities of this system.
