URATA Group Signs MOU with Bureau Veritas for Construction Sector Certification and Inspection in Cambodia

URATA Corporation (Headquarters: Urayasu City, Chiba Prefecture, President and Representative Director: Kazuya Urata, hereinafter referred to as 'URATA') is pleased to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, URATA (CAMBODIA) CO., LTD., has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bureau Veritas (Headquarters: France), a global leader in the Testing, Inspection & Certification (TIC) field, to cooperate in construction sector certification and inspection services in Cambodia.

This MOU aims to enhance the reliability and added value of construction projects in Cambodia by establishing a certification and inspection system that incorporates both international quality and safety standards, as well as Cambodian domestic construction regulations and institutional operations.

Regarding the signing of this MOU, a signing ceremony was held in Phnom Penh, the Kingdom of Cambodia, on April 3, 2026. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Chan Sopar, Director General of the Department of Construction under the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction of the Kingdom of Cambodia, representatives from the French Embassy and the Japanese Embassy in Cambodia, as well as representatives from related organizations and construction industry associations.

On the day, following greetings from both company representatives and an explanation of the MOU's purpose, a formal signing and commemorative photo session took place, confirming the commitment towards future cooperation.
