Universal Studios Japan (operated by USJ LLC) opened the 'Universal Studios Store Kansai International Airport,' the first permanent official shop in a domestic airport, today, June 2, 2026, in the new international commercial area developed during 'Phase 4' of the Kansai Airport Terminal 1 renovation. Woody Woodpecker and Winnie Woodpecker, wearing special 25th-anniversary costumes, attended the opening ceremony. The 'film-cut' moment was met with cheers from tourists.
