Universal Studios Japan, which celebrated its 25th anniversary on March 31, 2026, is presenting a "special year" where the entire park will be buzzing like a "festival" under the theme "Discover U!!!" This theme embodies two meanings: "Discover You," encountering a "self you don't know" beyond imagination, and "Discover USJ," looking back on the park's 25-year journey and rediscovering the power of entertainment.
Today, June 29 (Mon), new commercials for the 25th anniversary theme "Discover U!!!" featuring Haruna Kawaguchi and Azusa Okamoto, who are close friends in private, will be released.
Haruna Kawaguchi and Azusa Okamoto discover new sides of each other they didn't know! Their new looks shown at the "festival"-like "25th Anniversary Program" where you can meet a "self you don't know" will be released sequentially in two versions of commercials.
These commercials will be released in two versions ("NO LIMIT! Parade ~Discover U!!! Version~" and "25th Anniversary Program") set in the bustling 25th-anniversary park, which is like a "festival." They will be sequentially released on TV commercials ("NO LIMIT! Parade ~Discover U!!! Version~") and digital media ("25th Anniversary Program") starting June 29 (Mon).
The two close friends experience the park, which is alive with excitement for its 25th anniversary. Their uninhibited expressions and innocent, playful moments reveal sides of themselves that even they didn't know, depicting the surprise and joy of encountering a "self you don't know," the meaning behind the 25th-anniversary theme "Discover U!!!".
In these commercials, there's also a scene where the two look back at the actual footage while in the studio. In the "NO LIMIT! Parade ~Discover U!!! Version~" commercial, as the music plays and the park's friends and entertainers dance, Kawaguchi's body starts moving to the rhythm, leading to comments like "You're really getting into it (lol)" (Okamoto) and "I'm a little embarrassed (lol)" (Kawaguchi), as they express surprise at their own energetic performance.
In the "25th Anniversary Program" commercial, they meet iconic cars and characters from famous movies in the "Universal Cars and Stars Collection," posing like Doc from "Back to the Future" with high energy. In "Super Nintendo World," they run around like children, desperately trying challenges. During the "Festival in the Park," when they succeed at a carnival game, they high-five and jump with innocent joy. Seeing themselves having so much fun without even realizing it, they can't help but laugh together, further conveying the joy of encountering a "self you don't know" as meant by "Discover U!!!".
Also, Vaundy's newly written 25th-anniversary theme song "Destiny Journeys" is used in these commercials, enhancing the experience of the two friends at the park.
Haruna Kawaguchi's "Discover U!!!" experience, where a "self you don't know" starts to stir through 25 years of history and overwhelming Universal Studios Japan entertainment. Please pay attention to the joyful scenes in each of the two commercials.

A message from Haruna Kawaguchi, who appears in the special CM: "USJ is celebrating its 25th anniversary right now! I want everyone to experience the festive atmosphere and energy that can only be felt now! Laugh from the bottom of your heart, dance a lot, and meet a new you!"
Haruna Kawaguchi's Message
I was really looking forward to it from the moment the filming was decided. On the day, we had so much fun, playing and enjoying ourselves without a second thought, laughing and shouting, that I completely forgot I was filming. We were able to notice new expressions and sides of each other, and I'd be happy if that comes across in the commercials.
The energy of the crew and characters at the park is truly amazing; it's a space that energizes you just by being there. The parade, in particular, was spectacular. I was laughing and having so much fun, and the special sense of unity I felt was very memorable. USJ's 25th anniversary is truly enveloped in a festive atmosphere. I want everyone to enjoy the experience of laughing heartily, moving their bodies, and meeting a "new self."
