Universal Studios Japan, celebrating its 25th anniversary, has announced the launch of its seasonal autumn event, 'Universal Extreme Autumn ~Discover U!!!~', running from Thursday, September 10, 2026, to Sunday, November 8, 2026.
This autumn, marking the park's 25th anniversary, will also celebrate the 15th anniversary of 'Halloween Horror Nights'—an event that has transformed Japan's autumn leisure scene since its debut in 2011. Known for its ever-evolving quality and scale, 'Halloween Horror Nights' has established 'horror' as a mainstream entertainment theme in Japan. In 2026, the milestone event will evolve into an extreme horror experience where everything is pushed to abnormal levels, delivering inescapable, despair-inducing terror.

The 15th anniversary edition of 'Halloween Horror Nights' will unleash multidimensional terror across the park, featuring street experiences, globally popular survival horror games, and collaborations with acclaimed domestic and international anime titles.
The 15th anniversary will elevate Japan's autumn entertainment to a new dimension, pushing the boundaries of fear and delivering an evolved horror experience.
● 'Street Zombie'
This year, more zombies than ever before will appear, launching a new storyline packed with 15 years of terror. The park’s everyday scenery will be ruthlessly devoured by hordes of zombies, engulfing every visible space in fear on an unprecedented scale.
● 'Zombie de Dance' / Special Show
'Zombie de Dance' will ignite excitement with King Gnu’s hit 'SO BAD', and at the end of each day, legendary collaboration tracks such as Ado’s 'Shou' and三代目J SOUL BROTHERS’ 'Rat-tat-tat' will return in a special medley. Additionally, zombies and horror legends from past editions of 'Halloween Horror Nights' will unite for a special show: 'Halloween Horror Nights Academy ~15 Years of Screams~', condensing 15 years of terror and madness into one explosive performance.
● New Attraction: 'Biohazard Requiem' The Dive
A brand-new horror attraction, created in collaboration with 'Biohazard Requiem', the latest installment of the world-famous survival horror game series celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Set in the iconic abandoned 'Ranwood Hotel' and sanatorium scenes from the original game, creatures will attack from all directions. Unpredictable terror unfolds relentlessly, plunging guests into an extreme experience that allows no distractions.

The scream-inducing ride 'The Curse of Sadako ~Dark Horror Ride~', which debuted in 2023, returns. Experience the chilling 'Factory of Fear ~Tour of Despair Zombie Tour~', the zombie manufacturing plant. Last year’s highly popular attraction, co-created with global makeup brand 'KATE', returns: KATE PRESENTS 'Witch at No. 18 ~The Mansion Where Emotions Play~', a new sensory experience that liberates emotions. The collaboration with the hit anime 'Chainsaw Man' returns as 'Chainsaw Man: The Chaos 4-D'. The 'Smileys Happy Halloween Greeting' brings 4-D characters into the streets for real-life encounters. The high-scream backward roller coaster 'Hollywood Dream – The Ride ~Backdrop~' features a new soundtrack: 'IRIS OUT' by Kenshi Yonezu, theme song of the 'Chainsaw Man: Reze Chapter' movie. 'Zombie de Dance × Hollywood Dream – The Ride' revives past hits in a thrilling ride experience.
