Momoko Kikuchi Releases First Digital Single 'Starry Sky English Version'

Celebrating her 42nd year since debut, Momoko Kikuchi, who has seen a resurgence in popularity due to active live performances overseas, released her 1st Digital Single, 'Starry Sky English Version,' at 0:00 on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

This marks Kikuchi's first digital single in her 42-year career. 'Starry Sky' was originally featured on the EP 'Eternal Harmony,' released for her 40th anniversary in 2024. The song was written and composed by Kikuchi herself and has been performed in English during her live shows.

This new release features a string arrangement by Ryo Sonoda, who has served as the bandmaster for Kikuchi's recent live performances.

Kikuchi commented, "In the second chorus, I imagined myself and my child looking at the stars. I hope listeners can imagine spending time with someone dear to them."

Furthermore, she is scheduled to perform as 'Momoko Kikuchi & Ryo Sonoda Quintet' in June at Kobe Asahi Hall (Hyogo) and Hama-rikyu Asahi Hall (Tokyo).
