A “Humanoid Landscape Art” is born in Taki Town, which has deep historical ties to medicinal herbs! A giant humanoid herb garden appears at VISON

At "VISON", a comprehensive resort facility for food and healing in Taki Town, Mie Prefecture, a new project called the "Herbman Relocation Project" will be launched, centered around the masterpiece "Herbman" by landscape designer/artist Eiki Danzuka. This project is an initiative aimed at passing down the "Story of Medicinal Herbs" to the next generation as an "experience," against the backdrop of the history, culture, and natural resources of Taki Town, which has long been associated with medicinal herbs, such as producing the herbalist Genjo Noro.

What is the artwork "Herbman"?

"Herbman" is a humanoid landscape art spanning approximately 25 meters in total length with its arms and legs spread wide. Using the human body as a motif, herbs and medicinal plants with efficacies corresponding to each body part, such as the head, chest, abdomen, and limbs, are planted. It serves as an experiential "herb dictionary" where one can see "where it hurts" and learn about the medicinal herbs effective for that specific area.

Aiming for a world where people and nature are healthy and children can run around energetically, Herbman continues its journey today and will arrive in "Taki Town" this spring.
