Voyt Inc., developer of the AI-powered intercom 'VOYT CONNECT,' has provided audio communication technology to Xacti Corporation's video utilization business platform, 'XBP.' As a result, a new 'group calling feature' has been implemented and integrated within 'XBP,' with service scheduled to begin on June 11.
Background: Challenges in Remote Support for Construction, Manufacturing, and Logistics Remote support solutions using wearable cameras are becoming increasingly popular in construction, manufacturing, and logistics due to labor shortages and the need for safety management. Xacti's 'XBP' is widely used as a tool to connect headquarters with work sites via video and audio. However, traditional calling functions were limited to 1-on-1 connections. There has been a growing demand for 'many-to-many' communication, such as wanting multiple stakeholders like managers, design experts, and contractors to hold discussions while viewing footage simultaneously, or enabling field sites to speak with one another.
Expansion Points through Voyt's Technology Voyt has provided its 'VOYT CONNECT' audio communication technology to upgrade 'XBP' from 1-on-1 calls to 'group calls.' This allows personnel from multiple sites to join a single calling group to check conditions and issue instructions simultaneously. This collaboration provides the underlying audio infrastructure for Xacti's platform.
Future Developments As a first step, there is expectation for further extension of AI functions such as Voyt's automatic speech-to-text and multilingual translation. Voyt plans to expand its integration with platforms across various industries and contribute to the realization of field DX.
