NEXCO West Japan Kansai Branch (Ibaraki, Osaka; Branch Chief: Masakazu Morotomi) and West Nippon Expressway Service Holdings Kansai Branch (Suita, Osaka; Branch Chief: Megumi Sata) announced that the gas station (GS) at Kishiwada Service Area (inbound, toward Osaka) on the E26 Hanwa Expressway will suspend operations for approximately 7 months due to aging-infrastructure renovation work. The closure runs from 0:00 on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 (Reiwa 8) through late January 2027 (Reiwa 9). EV rapid chargers will remain available throughout the construction period. Drivers are advised to use nearby alternative GS facilities: Kinokawa SA (inbound, 7:00-22:00), Kusatsu PA (inbound, 24 hrs), Suita SA (outbound, 24 hrs), Nishinomiya-Najio SA (outbound, 24 hrs), and Kashiba SA (outbound, 24 hrs). Construction notices will be posted at service areas and banners displayed on the expressway. Road traffic information is available via the NEXCO West Japan website, iHighway, JARTIC, highway radio (1620 kHz), and VICS.
