Regarding the Kansai, Chugoku, Shikoku, Kyushu Okinawa Area ETC On-Board Unit Purchase Subsidy Campaign 2026

NEXCO WEST (Kita-ku, Osaka City, President and Representative Director: Yoshiharu Shibamura) announces that it will implement the Kansai, Chugoku, Shikoku, Kyushu Okinawa Area ETC On-Board Unit Purchase Subsidy Campaign 2026, which will provide a subsidy of up to \10,000 per eligible vehicle for the installation costs of on-board units, with the aim of promoting the widespread use of ETC.

1. Campaign Eligibility

Individuals who apply at a participating campaign retailer during the campaign period according to the application method, and newly purchase, set up, and install an ETC or ETC 2.0 on-board unit.

2. Campaign Period

July 8, 2026 (Wed) (Reiwa 8) - Until the subsidy quota is reached.

It will be held until October 30, 2026 (Fri) (Reiwa 8) at the latest. On-board unit purchase, setup, and installation must be completed within the campaign period.

3. Subsidy Quota

50,000 units

4. Eligible Regions

Kansai Area (Shiga Prefecture, Kyoto Prefecture, Osaka Prefecture, Hyogo Prefecture, Nara Prefecture, Wakayama Prefecture) Chugoku Area (Tottori Prefecture, Shimane Prefecture, Okayama Prefecture, Hiroshima Prefecture, Yamaguchi Prefecture) Shikoku Area (Tokushima Prefecture, Kagawa Prefecture, Ehime Prefecture, Kochi Prefecture) Kyushu Okinawa Area (Fukuoka Prefecture, Saga Prefecture, Nagasaki Prefecture, Kumamoto Prefecture, Oita Prefecture, Miyazaki Prefecture, Kagoshima Prefecture, Okinawa Prefecture)

*Participating campaign retailers will be added sequentially and announced on the special campaign website.

5. Subsidy Amount

Up to \10,000 per unit (subsidizes the cost of the on-board unit, setup, and installation).

6. Subsidy Eligibility Requirements

Individuals who newly install an ETC or ETC 2.0 on-board unit are eligible for the subsidy.

Replacement of ETC on-board units is not eligible for the subsidy.

New four-wheeled vehicles are not eligible for the subsidy (vehicles for which more than 4 months have passed since the first registration date (first inspection date) on the vehicle inspection certificate at the time of campaign application are eligible).

New two-wheeled vehicles are eligible for the subsidy.

Only on-board units compatible with the new security standards are eligible for the subsidy.

Individuals who purchase, set up, and install at a participating campaign retailer in the eligible area are eligible for the subsidy.

Applications made after purchase, setup, and installation are not eligible for the subsidy.

Vehicles that have already received another ETC on-board unit purchase subsidy are not eligible.

7. Application Method

At a participating campaign retailer, fill in the necessary information on the dedicated "Subsidy Application Form" using your smartphone or other device, and then newly purchase, set up, and install the on-board unit.
