Popular Caster Emiri Nakagawa Becomes a Photographer!

Emiri Nakagawa, active as a weathercaster on 'Jōhō 7days News Caster', is currently publishing a series titled 'Sotto, Kiritoru' on Wani Books' web magazine 'News Crunch!'. In this series, she uses her hobby of photography to capture her friends in concepts and situations of her own design.

It has now been decided that a digital photo book composed of these cuts, including other cuts that could not be featured in the serialization, will be released.

The first installment features Rena Sumi, who was the subject of the first serialization. The digital-exclusive 'Hidamari no naka no Rena Sumi' will be released on Tuesday, May 26.

While focusing on bringing out expressions not seen elsewhere for each shoot and selecting locations accordingly, the session with Rena Sumi captured her natural self during a barbecue. The private-feeling expressions and poses offer a glimpse into the close relationship between the two.

"I'm still feeling my way around what I can even call a hobby. I never thought a serialization that started as an amateur photographer would be delivered to everyone in the form of an e-book so soon, so I'm filled with surprise and joy. For this commemorative first volume, I photographed Rena Sumi, who has looked after me both professionally and personally! I found myself pressing the shutter button in a frenzy as her expressions and atmosphere changed one after another. This is my starting work as a photographer. I would be very happy if many people could take a look at it!"
