Wani Books Co., Ltd. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President: Akio Takahashi) announced the release of "Kintetsuology - Secrets of Japan's Largest Private Railway Revealed by a Former Famous PR Man -" (Author: Toshihiro Fukuhara) on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

Mergers of approximately 30 companies, differences in track gauge, tourism development, diversified management - it was all "strategy."

Why was Kintetsu able to become Japan's largest private railway? The answer cannot be found solely in the length of its 501 km of track or the number of its trains.

The book is narrated by Toshihiro Fukuhara, a former famous PR man who served as the "face" of Kintetsu for many years, progressing from station attendant, conductor, and driver to public relations. He has appeared on NHK's "Buratamo" and "Tetsu Ota Senshuken," and is deeply knowledgeable about the charm and behind-the-scenes workings of railways. From a perspective that understands operations, management, and the media, he approaches the true nature of the giant corporation Kintetsu.

- Why was such a complex route network created? - Why do tourist limited express trains continue to evolve? - Why was Kintetsu able to leap forward each time it faced a crisis?

The more you learn, the more three-dimensional the route map will appear. Your train rides will become even more enjoyable. This is a book that stimulates the intellectual curiosity of railway fans and delves into the depths of Kintetsu.
